The Isle of Seil is
reached by the lovely old Clachan Bridge dating from 1792 - one of the few
"bridges across the Atlantic". This is a very peaceful area, yet it is an
easy run to Oban, a popular tourist town offering good leisure facilities
as well as a choice of restaurants and trips to the islands by ferry. This
scenic corner of Scotland attracts walkers, ornithologists, wildlife
enthusiasts, photographers and artists. For family fun, there is a 9 hole
golf course nearby, and a new putting green a couple of miles away. We
have a small rowing boat which we offer free of charge to guests for use
at their own risk, and the fishing just in front of the chalets is
excellent. The site record is 39 mackerel, caught in just two hours by the Ellis family!
