TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF HOLIDAY RENTALS

  1. The period of let will be from Friday, Saturday or Sunday, unless previously agreed. A deposit of 25% is required with each booking, with the balance being due six weeks prior to arrival. Short breaks out of peak season are available.
  2. In the event of your booking being cancelled, the deposit will be forfeit unless another booking can be arranged. If you cancel your holiday less than 6 weeks before it is due to start, and have therefore paid the balance outstanding, this can only be refunded if we are able to re-let the property for the period which you have reserved. In this case, the deposit will not be refunded. We strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance to guard against this. Please note, under no circumstances will the Owners be liable for any accidents, including damage or loss to guests’ property or the chalets at any time.
  3. Arrivals are welcome between 4pm - 7pm on the date your holiday begins. If you are intending to arrive after 7pm please phone us so that we can make arrangements for you.
  4. Please vacate your chalet by 10am on the day your holiday finishes to allow us to clean it thoroughly before the next guests arrive. We may inspect the property before you leave the premises to ensure that it has been left in a clean and tidy condition, and that there have been no breakages or other damage.
  5. All breakages or damage must be paid for at the replacement value of the item. (Please notify us if you have broken anything as soon as possible so that we may replace it in good time.)
  6. You will be liable for any extra cleaning costs incurred at the rate of £30 per hour.
  7. Pets must me kept under strict control at all times. Dogs must be kept on leads on the immediate chalet site, and not be allowed to foul communal areas.
  8. Please do not burn candles or other naked flames in the chalets.
  9. Please do not smoke in the chalets.
  10. Occasionally the Island of Seil experiences losses of power or water supplies. In the unlikely event that this occurs during your stay, the owners cannot be held responsible as these are matters out of their control.
  11. Group bookings from single sex parties are not accepted.
  12. The Owners reserve the right to refuse to hand over a chalet to any person, who in our opinion is not suitable to take charge. In such cases, all hire charges will be refunded in full and all liability of the Hirer and Owner shall thereupon cease.
  13. The Owners also reserve the right to decline a booking without giving any reason and to terminate a rental for improper use or unacceptable behaviour.
  14. The numbers in your party must be stated at the time of booking. Only persons and pets declared at time of booking will be accommodated.
  15. Please have fun, but no noisy parties or other disturbance will be allowed. This is a quiet site, any excessive noise will result in your rental being immediately terminated, and no refund will be due. Noise should be kept to a minimum between 10pm and 8am.
  16. We reserve the right to gain access for all reasonable purposes.
  17. The decision of Balvicar Chalets owners is final and binding in all matters at all times.
